An unmistakably well cared for Primitive 'Dark Oak' Wood Tankard with added ornate curved Beak Handle.
Made to last and it has, is this wood turned mug from the early 1970s. The walled cup is 5/8 inch thick with an attached handle that’s solidly bonded to its overall stout and rugged form. With rich dark colors occasionally offset by shimmers of gold shades, in 7 layers of bonded oak. Makes well its appearance while broadcasting the character it holds.
Be rightly set in days back when wood was used in cup making and one such as this was exceptionally befitting to own.

Condition: Very Good, likely now as it was in early 1970's, with no chips, scratches, or abrasion marks/ wear. The outer side has a rough lacquer appearance (possibly sponge applied showing small white bubbles on surface) while the inside is free from such coating and is of bare hardwood. A coating of Trewax furniture paste wax has been applied to the entirety of the cup inside and out.
